The Manfrotto tripod features the Manfrotto-patented horizontal center column feature, that allows the center column to flip quickly and easily from vertical to horizontal. By extending the column to the highest vertical position, it could be swung over to horizontal without taking out the head or disassembling the column itself. The ergonomics of the leg-angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks have also been improved.
Features:
- Flip lever leg locks make opening, positioning and closing quick and simple. The tension of the locking mechanism is user-adjustable, and all parts can be simply serviced or replaced.
- Each and every of the legs could be set to a different angle of spread for more flexible, versatile positioning and to assist keep camera equipment well-balanced over the tripod's center of gravity.
Marumi Filter
The choice of Marumi digital high quality filters have been specially designed with digital photography in mind. Each filter uses a specially developed ultra-low reflection coating to minimize internal reflection off the cameras built-in CCD and CMOS Sensors. Other anti-reflect functions include a special slim frame with satin smooth finish and a black ink process on the glass edge to get rid of flare.
Features:
- Incorporate Hard Protection that guards the surface of the lens from scratches even with heavy duty use. They are also water and oil repellent, which means water and oil spots simply wipe off. Both ranges also come with Anti-fouling, this keeps the lens surface clean from dust and dirt. Furthermore these filters are lens cap capable.
- The Super Circular Polarising Filter can be rotated to reduce reflection off highly reflective surfaces, it also increases colour saturation under sunshine bright conditions.
Cokin Filter
Introduced by Jean Coquin, a French photographer, the Cokin Filter System has become one of the biggest ranges of filter systems available today. They come in various sizes according to the skill level you feel you're at.
Features:
- The A system is for amateurs and includes smaller filters to suit standard focal lengths.
- The P system is for professionals and the filters are bigger to accommodate wider focal lengths or lenses with a larger front element
- These two sizes are broadly copied by independent companies so that the systems can be integrated with each other.
- The systems break down into individual parts which sounds irritating when you're buying them but is in fact a very intelligent way of doing things. Attached to the lens is a filter ring which then attaches to a filter holder which you then slide your filter into. The great thing about this is that it means you can simply buy a new filter ring for each lens that has a different filter size.
